Marconi Stallions FC raise money towards Levi's Project and DIPG Research
Another outstanding show of generosity and kindness displayed by the Marconi Stallions FC and Club Marconi over the weekend.
The club offered their support to the Levi's Project cause last Saturday with parents, and families donating during matches between Sutherland Sharks and Marconi Stallions in the Boys SAP Program.
It was one year to the day that the boy's dear friend Levi passed away from an aggressive form of brain cancer, Diffuse intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).
Rocco Arcorace the Head Coach of the Marconi Stallions FC Boys SAP Program and Andrew Smith the Coach of the Sutherland Sharks Under 10 team were on hand for the presentation of a cheque for $2000 towards the required $2.4 million commitment towards DIPG Research.
$1800 was raised on the day, with Club Marconi “topping up.”
Special thanks to Matthew and Rocco, in particular Rocco for your beautiful words to the boys after the game.
On behalf of the Sharks and Levis Project we wish to thank all staff , families and friends for your generosity , support and positive energy.
