mATCHDAY GUIDE
We can’t wait to welcome you to Seymour Shaw Stadium for an enjoyable, family-friendly matchday experience. Whether you’re a die-hard supporter or a first-time visitor, here’s everything you need to know.
Getting Here
Public Transport: The Easy Way Here
Seymour Shaw Stadium is located at 244R The Boulevarde, Miranda.
By Train: The easiest way to reach us is via Sydney’s rail network. Miranda Station is the closest stop – the stadium is only about 800m from the station (roughly a 12-minute walk through a safe, well-lit route). Trains run regularly to Miranda on the T4 line, and the station is a short walk from the stadium. No need to worry about parking or traffic – just hop off the train and be at the ground in minutes!
By Bus: Several bus routes serve the Miranda area, with stops near Westfield Miranda (just next to the station). If you’re coming from nearby suburbs, check out the local bus timetable – chances are there’s a bus that’ll get you within a few minutes’ walk of the game. Public transport is highly recommended whenever possible to avoid parking hassles, and it lets you focus on enjoying the match.
Parking: Limited Spaces – Arrive Early
If you do plan to drive, please arrive early to secure a spot. Parking at Seymour Shaw Stadium is limited and fills up quickly on matchdays. There is limited street parking available in the immediate vicinity, particularly on The Boulevarde, Wandella Road, and Central Road in Miranda. These streets are all within a short walking distance of the ground – just be mindful of any parking restrictions and our neighbors’ driveways when you park. We also urge fans to avoid leaving valuables in your vehicle and to park legally and considerately.
Accessible Parking: There is a limited number of on-street disabled parking spots may be available near the stadium (on a first-come, first-served basis). If you are a Disability Permit holder or require special assistance, please contact the club in advance to discuss arrangements. Our staff will do their best to help you on match day.
Food & Drink
Come Hungry, Leave Happy
Stay fueled up with a full slate of food and drink options during your visit! Our brand-new on-site café is open on matchdays, serving a range of delicious items – from healthy choices to indulgent treats – so you won’t go hungry (or thirsty). Here are just a few of the tasty offerings available:
Kids’ Meals: Fun favourites in child-sized portions, perfect for our junior Sharks fans.
Healthy Salads: Fresh, nutritious salads for those after a lighter bite (yes, you can eat healthy at the football!).
Burgers & Classics: Juicy burgers, fish tacos and other classic stadium fare to satisfy the biggest appetites.
Grab a barista-made coffee or a cold drink to go with your meal, and enjoy it at our picnic tables or in the stands. With plenty of food and drink choices on offer, you can treat the family or catch up with mates over a snack before kick-off. (Tip: The café menu includes vegetarian options and kid-friendly picks, so there’s something for everyone!)
Family & Kids Zone
Fun for the Whole Family
Bringing the family along? You’re in luck – we pride ourselves on providing a fun and safe space for all ages on matchdays. Our newly built Family & Kids Zone is a hit with young Sharks supporters and parents alike. Located just inside the stadium precinct behind goals on the Boulevarde end of the ground, this area gives kids a chance to play and burn off some energy before and during the match in a secure environment. Highlights of the Kids Zone include: a Teqball court (try out this popular new soccer-based ball game on a curved table!) and a fully fenced playground for the little ones. There’s seating nearby for parents to relax while keeping an eye on the kids.
All activities in the Family & Kids Zone are completely free – no booking or additional tickets required. Just drop by and let the kids have fun! The play area is open from before kickoff and throughout the game, so it’s a great way to keep youngsters entertained. Families won’t want to miss the chance to enjoy these facilities, and who knows – you might even spot our club mascot wandering by to say hello to the kids! It’s all part of our effort to make matchdays memorable for even the youngest Sharks fans.
Accessibility
Inclusive Matchday Experience
Seymour Shaw Stadium is fully wheelchair-accessible and we are committed to ensuring all fans can enjoy the football with ease. The venue has step-free access throughout, from entrance gates to viewing areas, and there are multiple accessible toilets available for use in different parts of the ground. Our accessible amenities are clearly marked, and stewards or staff can direct you to the nearest one if needed.
We strive to be a stadium “for everyone”. Assistance dogs are welcome, and if you have any special requirements (for example, needing a wheelchair-accessible vantage point or assistance getting to your seat), please reach out to us ahead of time or speak to a friendly staff member on the day. We’ll be happy to help make your visit comfortable. Our goal is to ensure that all supporters, regardless of ability or needs, have a safe, enjoyable matchday.
Entry & Ticketing
Fast and Family-Friendly
Getting into the game is easy! Tickets can be purchased online in advance through our official ticketing portal or on matchday at the gate. Pre-purchasing online is recommended to skip the queues and secure your spot – plus it gives you one less thing to worry about on game day. However, we do offer gate sales for walk-ups (cash and card both accepted). If you buy at the gate, please try to have exact change or use contactless payment for faster entry. Gates typically open about 60 minutes before kickoff, so aim to arrive with time to spare.
Ticket Prices: Our matches are affordable and family-friendly. Kids and teens under 18 enter for FREE, so bring the whole crew along! Here’s the rundown of our ticket prices:
Adults: $15 per match
Concession: $10 (students, pensioners, and seniors – please bring valid ID)
Under 18: FREE admission for anyone 17 or younger!
You can also purchase season tickets if you’re a regular fan – check our website for current season pass deals. Remember, kids go free, so this is the perfect opportunity to introduce the next generation to live football excitement without breaking the bank. Our ticketing staff will be on hand if you have any questions or need assistance at the gate.
Smithy’s Bar & Lounge
A New Premium Experience
This season, we’re excited to unveil Smithy’s Bar & Lounge, a brand-new addition to the Sharks’ matchday experience. Located in our new Clubhouse facility, Smithy’s Bar & Lounge offers a premium yet relaxed atmosphere to enjoy on game day. Fans who step into Smithy’s can take advantage of:
A Balcony with a View: Enjoy a panoramic view of the pitch from the lounge’s open-air balcony. You’ll be able to watch the match from a unique vantage point, all while sipping on your favourite beverage – it’s an awesome way to see the action in style.
Fully Stocked Bar: True to its name, Smithy’s features a full bar serving beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks. Whether you fancy a cold beer, a glass of wine, or a soft drink, our bar staff has you covered.
Comfortable Seating: Inside the lounge you’ll find comfortable seating and tables, so you can relax before the match and at halftime. It’s a great spot to catch up with friends, talk tactics, or simply soak in the matchday atmosphere in a more upscale setting.
Smithy’s Bar & Lounge is all about enhancing your matchday – giving you “more than just a seat” and a chance to make the most of your pre-game and post-game time in comfort. All supporters are welcome to check it out. There’s no dress code (come as you are in your Sharks gear!) and a small $10 entry fee. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, entertaining friends, or just looking for a new way to experience the game, Smithy’s is the perfect place to elevate your day at the football.
Be sure to arrive a bit early if you want a prime spot on the balcony – space might fill up on big match days. Once you’ve tried Smithy’s Bar & Lounge, you may find it hard to go back to regular seats – it truly adds a new level to watching the Sharks play.
We hope this guide helps you plan a fantastic matchday with us.
