Wrapping up 2024 and Looking Ahead to 2025

To all our players and parents,

We can hardly believe the 2024 season is drawing to a close in what has been another big year for our Sutherland Sharks family, filled with plenty of ups and downs. We would like to express our immense gratitude for your commitment and efforts this season.

2025 is a year of BIG change, which is mostly thanks to you, our players and members, for providing your honest feedback about what we can do as a club to provide the best platform for your child’s development. We're listening and will continue to do so. We are thrilled to confirm Paul Reid has committed to the club for next season and will start with an almost completely new coaching team thanks to a rigorous process handled by Paul and the committee. We’ll be sharing more exciting news about this very soon.

One thing that is apparent, however, is that we must all work harder, raise our standards, increase our intensity and uphold our integrity above all else. We are working on a set of clearer club values and intend to have a major focus on our club culture. We will live by a new mantra of 'One and Done' as our Youth teams enter new territory and fight our way out of NPL2 and back to where we belong in the top flight.

We have some important announcements regarding our Committee. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Nick Dimovski for his years of dedication to SSFC. Nick has decided to move on from the club effective immediately, and we wish him all the very best with his next adventure. We would also like to formally welcome Craig Pisani to our new-look and re-energised committee. We are incredibly excited to have Craig on board, who brings a wealth of finance experience and business acumen along with a deep passion for football.

Finally, details for the end-of-year presentations will come shortly, and we ask that you save the date based on the details below. It is a great way to reflect on the season and wish any players moving on from the Sharks family all the success in the season to come, and let them know the door is always open.

SAP – Sunday, 8th September @ Reccas, 11:30am onwards (details to follow)
Youth – Friday, 13th September @ Cronulla RSL, 6:30pm till late (details to follow)

We are confident that 2025 will be a year of success, and one that we will build upon as we climb back to the top of NPL1 across all competitions.

Best regards,

The Committee
Sutherland Sharks Football Club
